What Do You Do?

What do you do when something occupies too much of your time, too much of the space in your already overthinking mind?

What do you do when things that happen are absolutely out of your control?

What do you do when there are only negative thoughts, and more destructive thoughts making home in your heart and mind?

Needless to say the first suggestion would be to talk things out, to share your woes and doubts with people who care about you.

You pray and hope, and calm your mind but those little evil people are trapped within you.

Then comes the idea of writing your feelings down, word by word. Writers often tend to this technique to cure the ache.

But you see, when desperation kicks in, you go as far as writing your frame of mind and even burning the sheet down to mere ashes; repeatedly!

What do you do when despite all the efforts, those thoughts and feelings stick with you?

What do you do when your thoughts are absolutely out of control? When those thoughts, pains you like a piercing needle, slowly seeping blood out?

What do you do when you can take no more?

What do you do when nothing helps, and even the thoughts (the fact that it is not happening in reality, it is only a thought and a feeling in my head is significant here) shatter you to the core?

What do you when you can’t face the consequences of those thoughts?

More Yours, Than Mine.

I smile a little more these days

As, the smiles on my face

Are a little more yours, than mine.

I cry a little more these days.

As, the tears in eyes,

Are a little more yours, than mine.

I hate a little more these days,

As, even the hatred in my mind

Is a little more yours, than mine.

I get tempered a little more these days,

As, the fuming rage in my voice

Is a little more yours, than mine.

I love a little more these days,

As, the love that blossoms in my soul

Is a little more yours, than mine.

I laugh a lot these days,

As, the laughter in my heart

Is a little more yours, than mine.

I am yours, and you are mine,

And together we colour,

Each other’s beautiful, lives.

A Word is All I Need

I read something yesterday, and I loved it so much that honestly I will not be satisfied unless I share it, post it almost everywhere.

So here it goes-

Touch me with words where your hands can’t reach.

Questions, Questions!

  • When exactly is someone ready?
  • Is head over heels really a thing?
  • Just how many before the one?
  • How do you know it’s him?
  • What if you think you are done with all the hassle but one last try could give you what you wanted all along?
  • what if you try, and fail all over again?
  • can we not learn after the first heart break?
  • how do even sometimes explain what you think, what you have in mind?
  • how do even words justify to your feelings?
  • Just how?

You might not have the answer to them, but Just have a good laugh over my continuous unending ramblings.

Have a good day. 🙂

Her last wish

She was an old lady and considered her life to be content with life with children, grandchildren, and even great grandchildren. She had lived happily until her last few days which had been too torturing and too painful for her old soul. Doctors had reported only 24% of her heart to be working and one of her kidney’s had been dysfunctional too. Constantly being shifted from CCU to ICU and back and forth, we had lost all our hopes; but she hadn’t.

There was this big religious event in our city which was long awaited for. Basically the ‘Dhwaja’ i.e. the flag which is hoisted in the temple of ‘Shrinath ji’ was to be brought to our city. This auspicious moment is too rare and is considered very pious. Well, I don’t know much about it so coming straight to the point, this dear old lady wanted to witness this propitious moment.

“The second I see the ‘dhwaja’ take me, my lord. Just let me see it once.” This was kind of her last wish. Every single person in her family wanted it to happen, everyone wanted her to stay, at least to be the spectator of this great event.

Ironically enough the moment the flag reached our city she breathed her last. Her dear wish was in the same city and she could not see it.

Her last wish remained unsatisfied or will she find peace in His abode. Her faith was so strong that even we thought that she’d live to see the Holy figure. Unfortunately, not. I for a matter think that it was good that she was relieved of this terrible pain that her body was for almost 10 days and more.

I am no one to comment here on anything. It’s just that I have heard too much about this dear lady and ‘her last wish’ in the past few days and couldn’t help but pour out my mind here. And as for this flag thing- for me it was just materialistic, the true God, the true faith resides in you, in your heart. Do your Karma and leave everything else on the destiny. Everything can never be in our control so why even try it. I hope she finds content above the glimpse of the materialistic ‘dhwaja.’

Daily Prompt: Treasure

via Daily Prompt: Treasure

You are my heart and soul and you still don’t know that

And perhaps you will never know.

You are the smile on my face, the tears in my eyes

You are my unending appetite.

You are the smell after the rain

The sunshine in the summers,

The snowfall in the winters.

You are the silver, gold and diamonds in my jewellery collection,

You are the memories engraved on my mind.

You are the treasure,

I will cherish my entire life.
